Launch: Dyslexia From A Cultural Perspective

Organised by Dyslexic Success UK:Richard Branson, Stephen Speilberg, Jamie Oliver, Steve McQueen are dyslexic, but their dyslexia would have been manifested in different ways due to the culture they were brought up in. Let’s discuss this with the help of the BDA’s newly formed committee which has taken on the task of raising more awareness of what it is like being dyslexic as part of the BME community. Come along and meet the author of the book ‘Dyslexia from a Cultural Perspective – Asher Hoyles Listen to the committee’s perspectives and network with other people to share your perspective

This free event is aimed at raising Dyslexia awareness to the B.M.E community and breaking the silence/taboo, tackling the stigma surrounding dyslexia as well as addressing barriers to disclosure.
